Finally! Been waiting for a fix to broken switch
Make sure to buy both components - switch replacement and metal dowel. After removing broken pieces, replacement was pretty easy. After a few quick searches, found some video guidance on how to perform repair. Take care not to lose spring and small detente ball. Don't over tighten switch screw. Some mild lubricant before seating metal dowel. I'm quite the novice so if I can do it anyone can. Recommend small screwdriver set handy so you don't strip tiny screws when removing switch plate. Very happy to have sight functioning again..
Finally! The Part We Need!
Finally! The part of the Kobra ON/OFF switch that breaks. I also bought Parts Kit 1, so all parts would be new. This metal piece is slightly different than the original pot metal part that often breaks. Install was easy. You may want to test fit the knob on this part before installing. Mine was a very tight fit which benefitted from some very minor file work. With antiseize on all moving parts, it works better than the original.
