This adapter rail is designed specifically as an adapter rail for mounting any curved receiver including your Mosin-Nagant M1891, 1891/10, 1891/30, M1938, M1944. A great way to get an old style military sniper setup with a small amount of work... Using such a side rail and a Russian off-set left mount precludes the bolt from hitting the scope which is a common problem with bore centered scope mounts. The plank measures: 100?30 mm and weighs virtually nothing at 50 grams. This solid machined steel rail is an excellent choice for mounting and excellent for adding sniper capability to your rifle, using the rifle for hunting or adding a red dot sight for quick acquisition purposes. The back side of this mount has raised runners along the outer edges to give additional metal to metal contact and give you a firmer mount as compared to just a flat plate. This rail accepts virtually any mount including our AK and SVD side mounts and any POSP scope. Note that due to the loose tolerances on many Russian mounts, rarely you may need to file slightly at the mouth of the mount or the edge of the rail to get the rail into the mount.
