Why Do We Compare our Optics to Carl
Zeiss?
Throughout its existence, the USSR was a leader in military optics.
After the Soviet Army entered Germany in WWII, they made a concerted
effort to occupy as many industrial factories as possible. They
occupied the majority of the German optical plants, including
the famous Carl Zeiss-Jena factory. They then took the technology
and tooling back to Russia, added their own refinements and began
to build similar but even more advanced optics. They even brought
a couple hundred engineers from the Carl Zeiss plant as prisoners
back to establish Soviet optics engineering and production. For
many years these optics, particularly night vision devices were
strictly for military issue. In the late 80_s, a series of testing
done by an international organization showed that Russian optics
were superior to their world-famous predecessors, Carl Zeiss-Jena.
These optics provide amazing quality at a fraction of the cost.
Are you an authorized internet dealer?
Yes! We are fully authorized and backed by our manufacturers.
We have always prided ourselves on our relationships with our
manufacturers. Without these relationships, we would not be able
to bring the best deals and the best selection to our customers.
How long have you been in the optics business?
We have actively been in new and used optics since 1995. We grew
our business in the big auction houses and eventually opened our
store. We have many years of expertise in both new and used Soviet
and Eastern optics.
Will you share my information with other
companies?
We will never share any personal information including your email
address for any reason other than required by law. We will only
hold your personal information long enough to process and ship
your order, and it will never be sold to a third party.
Is my order transaction and information secure?
For transaction security, we use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology.
Your account information and transaction data are stored in encrypted
databases. Most browsers will indicate a secure connection within
the status bar at the bottom of your screen.
How do I place an order?
Kalinka Optics Warehouser® takes a lot of pride in our customer
service. If you are not sure if a product is exactly what you
need or want more information, email one of our experienced professionals.
They will help you with any questions or problems you might have.
To purchase online, click on the _Add to Cart_ button and you
will be directed to the shopping cart for review. You can continue
shopping at this point or simply choose the quantities you would
like and finalize your order. You will be prompted for your credit
card information and given the opportunity to adjust your billing
and shipping information. At this point, you will be ready to
place your order. After your order is processed and approved,
you will receive an email confirmation. Once your order has been
processed for shipment, you will receive a second email notice
stating that shipment has been made.
How do I cancel an order?
You can cancel your order anytime before it has shipped. If you
have not received a shipment confirmation, please email us to
make sure we have not shipped your order. After it has shipped,
we will assist in any special arrangements that will be required
to cancel your order. We are happy to assist you in any way possible
to satisfy your needs.
How quickly will my order be shipped and
when will it arrive?
Orders are shipped within 72 hours, pending credit card approval. Kalinka Optics Warehouse® ships most items from our South Carolina office using USPS. Occasionally an item will be shipped directly from the warehouse if it is not in stock at the office. Orders are shipped with delivery confirmation to ensure you receive your package. Larger/more expensive orders are shipped with signature confirmation also. The average USPS transit time for orders shipped Priority Mail is 1-3 days for the lower 48. Shipping charges are shown when an item is added to your shopping cart. Kalinka Optics Warehouse® ships international orders from either our South Carolina office or our European warehouse depending on transit times and costs. International orders are delivered by your country's postal service. All packages are shipped with insurance however online tracking is not available. We ship daily internationally but all orders are verified first which takes a few days. We do this to cut down on fraudulent orders. Some military items may be delayed in shipping if export license paperwork is required to be submitted by us first. We make no guarantees about your local customs obligations but the majority of orders have no customs taxes due. Shipping transit time is generally 5-20 days and total time from placing your order after verification and any necessary paperwork is about 7-35 days depending on where you live. Note that we do not ship to Eastern Europe, South & Central America, Central Asia, the Middle East, Africa and all other high-fraud areas.
Do you sell used or refurbished merchandise?
We sell a wide variety of vintage Soviet optics for the discerning
collector. However, we do NOT sell refurbished goods. We want
our customers to have full confidence in us and our merchandise,
and refurbished goods should be seen in-person before a buying
decision is made.
Do you carry the merchandise in your own
inventory or does it ship direct from the manufacturer?
Everything that we sell to our online customers is shipped direct
from our warehouse in Saint Petersburg, Russia. Although some
manufacturers will ship directly to consumers, we feel that this
creates too many possible problems. We would be depending on someone
else to take care of our customer, and we do not want to give
up this responsibility. It will be quicker, more efficient, and
more reliable to stock the merchandise and ship it ourselves.
Can I "special order" an item that
you do not have on your website?
Yes. Simply contact a KO salesperson at info@kalinkaoptics.com
for any special purchases. We are always adding new items to our
website, but we will probably never have everything you might
want. We have requests daily for special items and vintage optics.
Our wide network of vintage optics dealers can find about anything.
Thus, if there is something in particular that you have in mind
but do not see on our website, please contact us. We will do whatever
we can to help fulfill your needs.
What is your return policy?
Returns and exchanges are governed by our 15 day money-back guarantee
and one year factory warranty. All returns under the 15-day money-back
guarantee must be in new condition and in the original packaging
with all of its paperwork. The customer is responsible for return
shipping and handling charges. You will receive the refund upon
our receipt and inspection of the merchandise. See the Returns

How do I return an item?
To return any item please contact the sales department at info@kalinkaoptics.com
for a Return Authorization Number. Once you receive your Return
Authorization Form via email simply follow the directions. For
your protection, we recommend you insure your shipment.
